What are the best places or ways? If there is anyone here who has hired, or is hiring a caregiver, I would like to know if there are any specific things you look for. Thanks.

You can promote yourself by posting ads online. Also get letters of recommendation from people who you have provided care. You will require excellent references who will verify your work. Good luck.

If anyone planning to hire a caregiver for his/her family member then it is well known thing that person doesn't have sufficient time to moderate that particular family member so you should have enough time to do care that person. Second thing, emotional support is most important thing, you must provide emotional support to that person. Conclusion is that everyone wants a family member in a care giver which can care his/her family member well.

You can give an interview in some care giving like agency, and if you fulfill their criteria of selection you will be hired by that agency and then it's their headache to provide patients to you. You just have to serve them.
