I love working with older people! I love making such a significant different in someone's life. For example, a woman with dementia living at home alone was starting to be very fearful and paranoid. After working with her and building her trust, she accepted caregivers in her home and now after a few days is already more calm and peaceful. I love my job!

I also find working with the elderly quite rewarding. Most of the one's I work with value having some independence over being in a nursing home. A lot of them only need my care for about half the day. The other half they are pretty much independent. The families usually require they carry around a senior alert device so they can call for help if they need it. I love that I help them keep some of their independence which they so covet.

Amen to that. I also find joy in working with older people. I'm not a caregiver but I often volunteer in nursing home projects. I really admire all the caregivers out there because of their patience and compassion. Elderly patients need empathy. _________________ long term care plans

Care giving is really hard task to do but if you love social work then this field is waiting for you. Through this work you will become reason of someone’s smile. That smile is precious and gives you a peace of mind. _________________ care homes |

With this job, caregivers also get self satisfaction. It is true that it is job but it is also true that they are providing hearty care for someone. They are maintaining a life of that person who is unable to maintain himself or herself.

I admit that it was hard at first but day by day I got used to it and I've never felt this fulfilled before. I've become more sensitive and I feel good when I see them smile and they are in a comfortable state all the time. The satisfaction I feel when I help patients and their families is beyond words.
